Hampers Wash + Fold is a practice brand identity and logo design project. Hampers is an upscale, clean, welcoming laundromat where you won't mind dropping off your clothes or even waiting around with a cup of coffee and a book. Hampers keeps their facility in tip-top shape and helps you check laundry off your to-do list with ease.
I really wanted the overall feel to be sophisticated, but also warm with a bit of nostalgia. I discovered that the letter “H” could be represented in the grate squares that are typically seen on plastic laundry hampers. I wanted to create a clean, badge-style logo with elements that could be isolated for use elsewhere. The folded laundry symbols make for fun, colourful elements to add life to the laundromat walls and other marketing collateral. The 1982 is a nice little nod to when the business was established.
